Abstract
Accreditation of medical laboratories through the implementation of several actions needed to maintain a good quality of the analysis. The successful completion of these tests requires the existence of adequate
facilities and equipments, suitable and controlled methods and qualified human resources skills. A good internal quality control is no longer sufficient to ensure reliable results. The other two main analytical phases of the process, the pre-analytical and post-analytical phases, are also involved in total quality. The mastery of errors for each phase requires, from biologists, their knowledge and the corrective and preventive actions and measures to minimize them.
